Emergency Shelter and Transitional Housing
UGN works with Olympic Community Action Programs (OlyCAP) Housing Services to help provide emergency and transitional housing, rental assistance, case management, direct basic needs, and low-income permanent housing for residents in Jefferson County.
UGN funds contributed to the 5,831 shelter bed nights utilized by homeless families and individuals in 2009, and additionally supported case management and program services provided to the 100 adults and children staying in the year-round, 90-day emergency shelter program. This is the only year-round homeless family shelter in Jefferson County.
